GRC Components

Glass reinforced concrete (GRC) is a construction material that is commonly used to form exterior cladding panels and features such as columns, spandrels, band courses as well as traditional window surrounds and copings.

The inclusion of glass fibres and specialist admixtures allows the stone to be made in thinner and larger sections that result in significant weight savings in comparison to Wet-cast stone.

GRC has become immensely popular in the last 20 years due to its inherent strength, durability and versatility.

Design considerations for securing GRC to the structure is extremely important and early engagement with the suppliers and installers is recommended to ensure adequate provision for the design and fabrication process.
